Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President Minhaj-ul-Quran International, delivered a speech on the topic of "Islam and Interfaith Harmony" at the prestigious University of Torino. The renowned Italian Muslim scholar, Ibrahim Gabriele Lungo, was also in attendance on the occasion.
During his address, Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri emphasized that all religions advocate respect for other faiths, and it is important for us to respect each other's religion. He cited the teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), who encouraged the translation of literature based on his teachings into the national and local languages of each country. This would make such literature accessible to the younger generation in languages they understand, enabling them to comprehend Islam's perspective on interfaith harmony, he said.
Dr. Hussain Qadri also highlighted the efforts made by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri through the platform of Minhaj-ul-Quran International to promote interfaith harmony and its positive impact on society.
The event concluded with a question and answer session, during which the youth in attendance expressed their appreciation for the global efforts of Minhaj-ul-Quran International in promoting interfaith harmony, peace and dialogue.
