It is happy news for the people associated with the MQI, researchers, scholars and the students interested in Islamic history that Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri has issued a journal by the name of Renaissance as editor-in-chief. The first issue of the journal saw the light of day during the holy month of Ramadan 1444 ah. It is the first ever research publication of international standard to be published under the banner of MQI.
It is a matter of great pride and appreciation that the idea of publishing this quarterly research journal was conceived and developed by Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri, the grandson of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and the son of Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri. He himself prepared its editorial policy and mission statement, selected a team of content writers and technical resource persons and provided a direct supervision to the whole process from the conception of the idea to its translation. He also contributed a thoughtful and intellectually incisive research article to the magazine on the subject of the need and imperativeness of the renaissance of knowledge. The article is a food for thought for the knowledge seekers and students.
It is important to mention that this quarterly magazine will be available online free of cost for the researchers, scholars and the students around the world at: al-nahda.co.uk.
If you have a look at the title and go through the articles published in the magazine, you would have a very fair idea of the quality of the writings it contains; writings that are based on modern thoughts, intellectual clarity, technical richness, meaty content and thoroughly researched information. You will also not help getting impressed by the standard of diction and lucidity of the style of writings.
Creativity and purposefulness are written all over the page layout, colour scheme, designing and the selection of the pictures. The readers will also have a peep into the historic Islamic buildings and heritage in the magazine.
There are four basic aims of the launch of the research journal:
1. The core target of the journal is the youth.
2. It aims to sensitize the English speaking people to the peaceful teachings of
Islam and to revive the dying religious and moral values.
3. To initiate debate on the contemporary social and religious topics and present
a solution to them.
4. To convey Mustafavi teachings and Islamic history to every reader.
