The world-renowned IT giant Amazon has included the English version of the Quranic Encyclopaedia in the list of items for sale for its e-customers after its massive popularity in the UK and Europe. Amazon has given an offer of 50% discount on the home delivery of the Encyclopedia.
The inaugural ceremony of the English version of the Quranic Encyclopaedia was held on August 4 in Manchester. The hundreds of people from the UK, Europe and North America attended the ceremony. The British media gave prominent coverage to the inaugural event. Sunday Times, Asian Voice, and The Times published special interviews of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri regarding the Encyclopaedia and other books authored by him. After publication of these interviews, the interest of the people in the Encyclopaedia surged, leading to a higher demand of the voluminous book.
Hundreds of the copies of the 8-volume Quranic Encyclopaedia have been purchased for their placement in the British libraries. While talking about the Encyclopaedia, Noorullah Siddiqui, Director Media of MQI, said that it is the most comprehensive work among the published Encyclopaedias so far, which consists of 7000 pages and deals with 5000 topics. He said that this Encyclopaedia was originally published in Urdu language whose inaugural ceremonies were held throughout Pakistan. He said that the Encyclopaedia has enabled the common man to easily understand the subjects contained in the Holy Quran. He further said that The Sunday Times, in its issue of August 8, described the Quranic Encyclopaedia as a message of peace. He said that thanks to the dedicated efforts of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and the MQI, the Quranic message of love, and interfaith harmony is reaching far and wide in the world.
