Rawalpindi: MWL holds demonstration against corruption

Minhaj Women League (Rawalpindi chapter) organized a demonstration to protest the corruption and money laundering of the rulers. The rally, which was led by District President Naheeda Rajput, was attended by women in large number from Taxila, Wah Cantt, and Rawalpindi.

The protesters were holding placards and banners with anti-corruption slogans written in them. Speaking on the occasion, Naheeda Rajput demanded that investigation should be conducted into the Panama leaks as early as possible. She said that delay in this important matter was detrimental to public trust. She also requested the judiciary to take suo motu notice of the Panama leaks as this was a matter of public interest. She said that corruption is a serious issue and needs to be eradicated once and for all. She said that strong judicial oversight was important for elimination of corruption.
