By the grace of Almighty Allah, in this age of temptation, where there is an increase in the attacks of the Shaitan, there is also an increase in the number of devotees of the Holy Prophet (SAW) who are very enthusiastic to celebrate birthday of their beloved Prophet (SAW) and show their love for him (SAW). The proof and evidence for this is the Mawlid-un-Nabi (SAW) conference, which was attended by a large number of people.
On Saturday, 17th January 2015, Minhaj Women League and Youth League organised an annual Milaad conference. The programme was a great example of teamwork, as there was participation from women from various Minhaj-ul-Quran centres in Denmark. This effort was greatly appreciated by all the women and attendees. The programme began with recitation of the Holy Quran, which was done by Sister Mehmoona Siraaj, a student of Minhaj-ul-Quran. Praises on Allah (SWT) in the form of a Hamd were recited by Sister Hajrah Shah, who is a member of the Sister’s Youth League. There was also Naat sharif recitations from Sister Kokab Uppal, Nagina Umar and Nasheeds with the daff by youth sisters from the three Minhaj-ul-Quran centres in Denmark.
Sister Sidrah Saeed, Vice President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Aama, beautifully delivered a talk about the Milaad of the Holy Prophet (SAW) in the Danish Language. Sister Humera Fatimah Mirza, Vice President of Minhaj-ul-Quran, Copenhagen, also delivered a speech on the topic in the Urdu language. There was also a general knowledge quiz competition about the life of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and the ladies who gave the correct answers were presented with gifts. The sisters really enjoyed this segment of the programme, and also showed a great deal of interest in it by participating actively. The programme’s most important part, i.e. the talk about the love of the Holy Prophet (SAW), the mission of Minhaj-ul-Quran and the importance of having an attachment with the Holy Prophet (SAW), was delivered by Sister Sumaira Faisal, who is also the Women League Coordinator from the European Council. She stated that we need to look at today’s day and age of temptation and see what it is asking of us.
We need to look at ourselves and see how we can strengthen our attachment and bond with the person of the Holy Prophet (SAW). We need to see how we can attain his blessings. In the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal we can strengthen our love and link to the Holy Prophet (SAW). Allah (SWT) always remembers his beloved Prophet (SAW), with recitations of Darood Sharif and by sending His peace and blessings on him. In the same way it is compulsory for us to also remember the Holy Prophet (SAW) and to maintain a bond of love with his person. Salaam on the Holy Prophet (SAW) was recited by the Minhaj Sisters Youth and also the Women Leagues from all the centres. The President of the Women League, Denmark, Sister Kanwal Butt, thanked all the guests and attendees for taking time out to attend the programme. The programme was hosted and presented beautifully by Dr Shabana Ahmed. It was concluded with Dua by Sister Naheed Siraaj. Food was served to the attendees.
