By the grace of Almighty Allah and the blessed Prophet Muhammad (S.A), Minhaj Women League London organised ‘Istaqbale Rabi ul Awwal Conference’ (reception on advent of Rabi-ul-Awal) under newly elected chapter. This was the 1st Annual Milad-Un-Nabi program organized by the new body under the guidance of Mrs. Nusrat Mahmood, President MWL London. Ms. Sehrish Mobeen cordially thanked all the guests for attending the event and introduced the programme in a beautiful manner.
The programme stated with the recitation of holy Quran by Syeda Maimuna Bukhari in a melodious voice that enlightened the atmosphere of Milad un Nabi. The speaker for the Ilford area, Sister Nuzhat Pervaiz, recited a Hamd thanking Allah for the favour He showered upon us in the person of the Holy Prophet (SAW). In praise of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), various Naats were recited by Syeda Mariam Noor Hussain, Sister Jannat ul Firdous and by the much welcomed special guest at the event, Sister Marium Mehar.
An interactive session was held by the media team, consisting of a short quiz followed by playing of Shaykh ul Islam Dr Tahir ul Qadri's speech. Free books, CDs and DVD’s were handed out by Minhaj Dawah project representatives who had set up a stall. A message regarding ‘Noor’ of beloved Prophet (SAW) was delivered by Mrs. Fatima Mash'hadi in a short speech. She emphasised the love of Prophet Muhammad (S.A) should be part and parcel of our lives. She also spoke on the legality of Mawlid-un-Navi (saw). She spoke about the mannerisms of attaining knowledge and the importance of a spiritual mentor in the pursuit of knowledge. An invitation to support Shaykh-ul-lslam in mission of bringing about a peaceful and democratic change was given to all the guests attending the program. The phases of revolution and the importance of support of every person were described.
On an ending note, President of MWL London gave the message of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and urged sisters to join Halqa e Duroods across the towns and areas. She also gave a short introduction to the mega project of Minhaj Education City. She informed the sisters about the Asia's largest Masjid would be made in this city and many other facilities that will be accessible for the youth of today and many coming generations. This was a very successful programme and the first one under the new body. The programme ended with dhikr and dua and the guests were gifted with flowers and scarves. Food was distributed before the sisters departed.
