Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founder of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and a leading authority on Islam, would deliver his lectures to the American think-tanks and universities in the wake of publication of his historic 600-page Fatwa. Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri would deliver his first speech on November 8, 2010 at The Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal Centre for Muslim Christian Understanding, Georgetown University, on the subject of A Major Fatwa against Terrorism with Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. The event, which has been declared open to public, would be held at Copley Hall (Copley Formal Lounge), at 12:15 p.m.

The second important event is Shaykh-ul-Islam’s lecture at the United States Institute of Peace on the subject of Shaykh Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s Struggle against Radicalism. The lecture, which would be webcast live at 2 p.m. EST on November 10, 2010, would be held at USIP Headquarters, 1200 17th Street NW, Washington DC, 20036. Qamar-ul-Huda, Editor of Crescent and Dove: Peace and Conflict Resolution in Islam would deliver opening remarks besides conducting the programme as moderator. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri would speak on the issue of terrorism and the real concept of Jihad and how Islam stands against militancy, extremism and terrorism.
