Moot on ‘Developing Faith and Spirituality’

Dr. Musharraf Hussain Al Azhari and the Karimia Institute hosted a Faith and Spirituality event at Masjid Ash-Shifa, Bobbersmill Community Centre in Nottingham on 22nd June 2010. The main speaker at the event was Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, the beloved son of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and the President of Supreme Council Minhaj-ul-Quran International.

Shaykh Hassan described how true knowledge could only be manifested through Zuhd and Tasawwuf (Spirituality). The Shaykh described how knowledge of areas such as fiqh (Jurisprudence), Tafseer (Lexicology) etc. can only take a person to the door of tasting true belief and how it allows an individual to fulfill their daily requirements. It is, however, spirituality and the knowledge of spiritualism that allows a person to fully taste the blessings of the Almighty Allah.

In this regard, the Shaykh shared with the attendees the Hadith of Harisa (RA) in which he explained how he (RA) longed during the day for the night to arrive hastily to be in the company of his Lord, Allah.

The event was enjoyed by over 200 attendees and the thousands that listened to the live broadcast on Radio Dawn, Nottingham’s and Karimia Institute’s community radio station.

May all of us use the door of knowledge to raise our status so that we are constantly in the company of our Lord Allah Almighty! Ameen.
