Lisbon, Portugal – Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) Portugal successfully organized a grand Workers Convention, where Chairman of the Supreme Council, Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking keynote speech.

In his address, Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri emphasized the intellectual, ideological, and spiritual training of MQI members. Highlighting the importance of Minhaj-ul-Quran’s mission, he referenced his book "Rafiq aur Rafiqat", stressing the significance of becoming an MQI member. He explained that being a part of Minhaj-ul-Quran not only brings worldly benefits but also grants immense religious, spiritual, and eternal rewards.

He further elaborated that those who join this caravan actively participate in the propagation of Islam, a noble cause that earns divine rewards in this life and the Hereafter.

Following his heartfelt and motivational speech, dozens of men and women enthusiastically joined Minhaj-ul-Quran International as official members. They expressed their joy and pledged their commitment to spreading the message of MQI.

The event was attended by President of Minhaj European Council Bilal Uppal, President of MQI Portugal Kashif Nazir, along with distinguished leaders, members of the local community, MQI officials, and dedicated workers.

A special cake-cutting ceremony was also held by MQI Portugal, Minhaj Women League Portugal, and Sister League Portugal in celebration of Shaykh-ul-Islam Day. During this moment, participants paid rich tribute to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for his outstanding scholarly and revivalist contributions to Islam.

Towards the end of the program, Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri lauded the efforts of the MQI Portugal team for successfully organizing the first-ever Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ) Conference in Portugal. In recognition of their contributions, he distributed honorary shields to those who played a significant role in the event’s success. A special honorary shield was also presented to Bilal Uppal, President of Minhaj European Council.

This convention not only uplifted the spirits of MQI workers but also proved to be a significant milestone in strengthening Minhaj-ul-Quran’s mission in Portugal.
