Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran presented a paper at an international conference held in Egypt
Conference participants highly appreciated and termed his proposals practical

Professor Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, presented a research paper at the 36th International Conference organized in Egypt in collaboration with the Ministry of Islamic Endowments. He stated that there is no need to fear modern media and emerging technologies; however, establishing an ethical framework and proper training for their use is essential. Artificial intelligence is not a substitute for the human conscience.
He emphasized that modern media and scientific innovations are not in conflict with Islam; rather, these inventions are serving to affirm and reinforce the divine message of the Qur’an. The theme of the conference was “Ethics of Arts and Crafts in Islam, Their Impact, and Their Future in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.” Distinguished scholars, intellectuals, and economists from around the world participated in the conference.
Professor Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri stated that despite its extraordinary capabilities, artificial intelligence cannot replace human conscience, moral values, or Islamic Shariah. Artificial intelligence is merely a tool, whose direction and limitations must be determined in the light of the objectives of Shariah (Maqasid al-Shariah), so that justice, transparency, and the protection of human dignity can be ensured.
He stressed the need for balance between Islamic teachings, Shariah, and modern technology. In the context of digital commerce, the protection of consumers’ rights remains a major challenge. Misleading information opens the door to exploitation; therefore, a comprehensive legal, Shariah-based, and ethical framework must be developed, along with transparent oversight and responsible use of data.
Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri further stated that clear legislation and policies must be formulated regarding the use of modern technologies. For this purpose, all countries of the Muslim Ummah should move forward by benefiting from one another’s experiences. He also proposed that artificial intelligence should be taught as a compulsory subject in the curriculum.
The participants of the conference declared Professor Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri’s proposals practical and highly appreciated them. At the conclusion of the conference, he also held meetings with leading scholars and senior government officials of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
