Minhaj-ul-Quran UK Hosts Grand Quaid Day Celebration in Luton

UK, Luton: Following the success of the Quaid Day celebrations in Oldham, Minhaj-ul-Quran International UK hosted its second grand gathering in Luton, further rejoicing in the immense blessings bestowed upon us in the form of His Eminence Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.

The event was graced by Dr Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri (Chairman of the Supreme Council, MQI), accompanied by Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Al-Madani Al-Qadri.

The evening commenced with a heartfelt welcome address by Dr Saeeda Soomro (President MWL South Zone), who eloquently spoke on behalf of all attendees. Her words were deeply appreciated, setting the tone for a gathering filled with unity, devotion, and inspiration.

The event was enriched with soulful Quranic recitations and Na‘at by Waqas Hussain, followed by an uplifting Tarana by Bilal Shoaib. MWL and the children delivered an energetic and passionate performance, adding to the vibrancy of the celebrations.

A particularly moving moment came with a heartfelt message from Adnan Sohail, representing MWF, highlighting the importance of humanitarian efforts and service in the mission of Minhaj-ul-Quran.

The audience was then captivated by Shaykh Abu Adam Al Shiraazi (President MQI Midlands), who presented a powerful poetry recitation that resonated deeply with the gathering.

As a testament to dedication and commitment, MQI Derby and MQI London were honoured with awards, recognising their unwavering efforts and contributions to the mission of Minhaj-ul-Quran.

Dr Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri delivered an awe-inspiring discourse on the exemplary status of Minhaj-ul-Quran, praying for its progress to unparalleled heights until the end of time under the guidance and teachings of Shaykh-ul-Islam.

He delved into the profound knowledge of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, emphasising that his wisdom is further beautified by Adab (etiquette and reverence)—a living testament to the divine blessings we are indebted to.

Dr Hassan also reflected on the Noble Conduct of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, reminding attendees that the teachings of the Seerah serve as a beacon of light for us to learn from and aspire to. He reinforced the principle that Adab (etiquette) and noble character outweigh knowledge manifold and that true wisdom is inseparable from humility and grace.

He further elaborated on Shaykh-ul-Islam’s impeccable characteristics, describing him as an Adeeb (a person of profound etiquette and refinement), possessing countless traits of noble conduct, serving as the guiding force in the mission of Minhaj-ul-Quran.

Dr Hassan expressed how Shaykh-ul-Islam is like a perfume composed of the fragrances of the previous Mujaddids (revivers) of Islam and the great Imams of their time. The Chairman of the Supreme Council gave attendees the good news of an upcoming series of books on “Shaykh-ul-Islam”, which will document the 99 previous holders of this title, culminating in Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri as the 100th Shaykh-ul-Islam.

Post the keynote Syed Ali Abbas Bukhari sb (President MQI UK) extended his heartfelt appreciation to Dr Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Al-Madani Al-Qadri, and all attendees, commending their unwavering commitment and conviction in continuing the noble mission of Minhaj-ul-Quran International UK.

The audience, representing all MQI forums, including MWL, Minhaj Sisters, MMG, Minhaj Scholars Forum, and MWF, listened in awe, relishing the opportunity to absorb the invaluable insights and lessons imparted by Dr Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri.

As the evening progressed, a special Tarana in honour of Shaykh-ul-Islam was performed by M Younis Butt during the cake cutting ceremony, marking the joyous occasion with heartfelt celebration.

The event reached its spiritual peak with a soul-stirring performance of poetry and zikr in praise of Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet ﷺ by the Minhaj Al-Munshidin group from London.

The evening concluded with words of thanks from Shahid Iqbal sb (President MQI South Zone), expressing profound gratitude for the presence of distinguished guests and the unity displayed by the MQI community.

An Umrah ticket draw sponsored by MQI London was done, with a delightful winner of the draw - Mrs Qasim Ludiyanvi.

This momentous gathering in Luton was yet another testament to Minhaj-ul-Quran UK’s dedication to fostering spiritual enlightenment, unity, and devotion. Under the leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the evening hosted by Muhbeen Hussain (President MMG) was not merely a celebration but a reaffirmation of our shared mission; a journey of love, service, and the relentless pursuit of divine wisdom.
