Minhaj-ul-Quran International Greece organized a book launching ceremony for the acclaimed work of researcher and Islamic scholar, Chairman Supreme Council Minhaj-ul-Quran, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, titled "The Constitution of Medina & The Concept of the Welfare State".

The event was attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Greece, Azeem Khan, along with representatives of the Pakistani community.

In his address, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri highlighted that the Charter of Medina is the first written and concise constitution of humanity, comprising 63 articles and 750 words. He said that this charter introduced the concept of political nationalism and the rule of law while ensuring the protection of life and property, along with religious freedom for all citizens and groups of the State of Medina. He stated that the Charter of Medina remains relevant today, offering fundamental guiding principles for establishing peace.

Dr. Qadri further explained that the establishment of the State of Medina set an extraordinary example of peace, tolerance, and interfaith harmony.

The book launch event was attended by prominent figures from various fields, including Nadia Delgado (President, Hellenic & Mexico Chamber of Commerce), Vasilis (CEO, Accountant Company Athens), Stavros Drakos (Bank Manager, National Bank of Greece), and members of the Arab community, including Muhammad Zaki Syed, Syed Ihab, Muhammad Al-Dahabi, Muhammad Hisham, and Abdul Rahim, among others.

The attendees praised Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri’s outstanding research on the Charter of Medina and remarked that the book provides valuable insights into the Islamic principles of a welfare and just governance system as exemplified by the State of Medina.

The event was also graced by leaders and members of Minhaj-ul-Quran Europe and Greece, including Muhammad Bilal Uppal, Babar Shafi Sheikh, Ghulam Murtaza Qadri, Hafiz Muhammad Nawaz Hazarvi, Arslan Khurram Cheema (President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Greece), Chaudhry Shehzad, and other leaders and workers of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Greece’s forums. The event also saw participation from notable political, diplomatic, religious, social, and journalistic figures, as well as key personalities from the Arab community.
