A certificate and prize distribution ceremony was organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran International at the Al-Noor Islamic Center in Connecticut, USA, on June 9, 2024. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Ali Hassan, Muhammad Arsh, and Hafiz Numan Sarwar. Amina Gondal recited a Naat in honor of Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him). A large number of people, including the parents of the students, attended the program.
The students of the Sunday school sent salutations and greetings to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The ceremony was hosted by Muhammad Sharif Kamalvi, Director of Minhaj-ul-Quran Al-Noor Islamic Center, along with Principal Sister Fatima and teachers Farah Waseem, Daniyal Waseem, Waheed Ahmad, Maryam Waheed, Fajar Waheed, Maheen, Kousar Khan, Bushra Khan, Tehmina Naheed, Alina Naheed, Hafiz Numan Sarwar, and Sister Noshaba.
Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Sharif Kamalvi highlighted the subjects taught during the course, including Quran, Hadith, Islamic beliefs, Islamic law, Tajweed, Seerah of Prophets, and Urdu reading and writing. He announced the commencement of a summer school during the summer vacations and informed the attendees about the Hifz-ul-Quran and Nazirah classes organized for children at the center. Additionally, he mentioned the upcoming Islamic quiz competition at the center.
Brother Waheed Ahmad, a teacher at the Islamic Sunday school, delivered an insightful speech on the significance of Islamic knowledge. Sister Hafiza Naheed spoke to the parents about the history of the Islamic center and expressed her gratitude to the teachers and administration of the Islamic Sunday school.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates and prizes among the students, followed by prayers.
