On the 2nd of July 2023 Minhaj European Council (MEC) arranged an online workshop for the Executive Members of MQI across Europe.
The workshop was conducted by Joint Secretary MEC, Hassan Bostan, who took the participants through the 5-hour long workshop consisting of 3 main sessions, group work, discussions and interactive sessions.
General Secretary MEC, Awais Ejaz Ahmed, led the first session of the workshop focusing on the recent organizational development of MQI based on facts and figures regarding the progress of the work in each members country. It was indeed a groundbreaking session, and for the first time ever was such amount of vital data collected, analyzed and presented on European level. This gave very interesting insight to the participants and kicked off a discussion about how MQI organizations in Europe can strive for continuous improvement while maintaining the ongoing developments. Attendees gained key focus areas for the coming half year and discussed ideas to unlock their potential for success.
President MEC, Bilal Uppal, presented the second session of the workshop on the topic of Communication Skills, including active and passive response, verbal and non-verbal communication, underlining the importance of direct, clear and effective communication withing the organization of MQI in Europe.
The third and final session of the workshop was led by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of MQI, Respected Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri on the topic of Task Management & Leadership. His insightful and relevant discourse left the audience feeling charged, motivated, and empowered to unlock their untapped potential and to lead in their respective fields. He emphasized that the principles of Listen, Learn, and Lead are not just essential tools for success in personal and professional endeavors, but also crucial in selecting the right person for the job. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri further supported the importance of having tailored strategies for each region/country, considering local circumstances and challenges.
Chairman Supreme Council congratulated the whole management team of MEC for the successful arrangement of the online workshop and appreciated everyone’s efforts.
In between each session the participants got the opportunity to interact with each other regarding the particular topics of the different sessions and exchange views, good practices and success stories with each other. The workshop was run on MS Teams platform, providing the opportunity for creating breakout rooms for group discussions.
Throughout the workshop the management team of MEC, the dedicated IT & Digital Solutions Department of MEC, including Director, IT & Digital Solutions MEC, Atif Rauf, and Project Coordinator MEC, Ali Imran, made sure to assist and facilitate all the participants of the workshop to ensure a smooth and good experience for them all.
Vice President MEC, Mian Imran-ul-Haq, thanked all participants on behalf of Minhaj European Council and concluded the workshop with his final remarks.
After the workshop, an online survey was conducted by the organizers, where the participants were asked to give their feedback. Respondents were asked to evaluate the content & its relevance, presentations, engagement level, technical setup, overall organization/satisfaction and if the workshop addressed the learning needs on a scale of 1-10. Result of the survey shows an average score 8.5/10, which proves the success of this workshop.
