Minhaj Sisters UK North Zone this past year has been conducting various programmes across multiple cities including, Manchester, Sheffield, Nelson, and Halifax. The main aim has been to develop stronger circles within the local communities and crate interfaith forums for young women.
To celebrate this great achievement and to recognise all the volunteers, Minhaj Sisters UK held a special celebratory award ceremony and development workshop at Minhaj College Manchester. Sisters from across the North of England attended this unique event and left motivated, inspired, and spiritually enhanced.
Sister Atikah delivered an informative message on how to increase our practice of religious activities through the teachings of the Holy Prophet (SAW). They key note of her message was on the emphasis of various cultures provided by the Holy Prophet (SAW) such as the culture of action, interaction and dress. The message the sisters took form the talk was taking pride in your Muslim identity and not shying away from it.
Developmental workshops for the participants were set up to cover topics such as;
1) Included productivity and motivation and how they both work hand in hand delivered by sister Shabana
2) Integrating within the community
3) What forms your Muslim identity?
The main aim of this celebratory get-together was to provide the sisters with the necessary tools and understanding on how to integrate within their local communities. The aim of Minhaj Sisters UK has always been to nurture young British Muslim women to be great role models and be proud of their Muslim identity. Our message is simple this is the time, the time for us to understand our role in society and gain closeness to Allah (SWT) and his Prophet (SAW) through the teachings of Qur’an and Sunnah.
