The Minhaj European Council held its first in-person meeting in Paris on 27th February 2022 since the pandemic. Chairman Supreme Council, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, chaired the meeting, which was attended by the representatives of MQI from Spain, Germany, Netherlands, France, Denmark, Greece, Norway and the UK.
President MEC, Zille Hasan Qadri welcomed Sahibzada Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and thanked him for providing his precious time. The meeting was held at the main MQI Center in Courneuve with nice and relatively new facilities. The atmosphere and environment was productive with good reflections and feedback.
General Secretary MEC, Awais Ejaz, facilitated the meeting and presented the Vision 2030 and focus areas for 2022-23. He threw light on the ongoing projects in regards to building a professional and strong organization for the future.
Afterwards, all the forums presented their short-term and long-term plans and received valuable feedback from Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri. Productive discussion took place about prioritizing educational efforts among MEC executives and making training compulsory for the office bearers. The issues that came under discussion related to the activities of MYL, MWL/ MSL, MWF, Minhaj Dialogue Forum, Minhaj Scholars Forum, Minhaj Publications, Minhaj Education Board, Training & Development, IT & Digital Solutions, Finance and Membership department.
Chairman Supreme Council, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri applauded all the presentations and endorsed the focus areas. He provided several key messages and emphasized on the fast implementation in some areas specifically:
- Standardization of education system for kids and youth
- Standardization of workers training – all office bearers to complete mandatory
course Usul-al-deen wa da’wa, which has been developed by Minhaj Scholars of Europe,
UK and Markaz.
- Implementation of Microsoft 365 and CRM to ensure data collection and collaboration
- Collective online workshops/webinars from central platforms on a regular basis
to create uniformity and common standards
- Addition of more life-members – on individual as well as organizational level
- Making the books of Shaykh-ul-Islam available in European languages
Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri further emphasized the need for being connected with knowledge to have a firm base. Time should be prioritized to upgrade our knowledge about deen and mission, he said. Knowledge is our identity, without this we are half cooked, he added. He presented Shaykh-ul-Islam as an example. Every person connects him first and foremost with knowledge. That is his hallmark and we should follow his example.
The night before, MQI France celebrated Quaid Day with mehfil-e-Sama with a Qawwali Group from the UK in a beautiful hall with fantastic arrangements.
