Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League and Minhaj Sisters Europe are celebrating Mawlid-un-Nabi (pbuh) in an untraditional way due to the COVID situation. Instead of physical gatherings and congregations, online mahafils have been organized instead. Similar Mawlid celebrations were organized in Norway, Denmark, Spain, Netherlands, France, Italy, Greece, and in Germany.
The concept was to create an atmosphere of celebrations even though one could not physically attend a mehfil. Every such mehfil consisted of Tilwat, Naat, presentation of a book written by Shaykh ul Islam Dr. Mohammed Tahir ul Qadri about the Prophet (PBUH) followed by a closing prayer. In this way, the viewers could learn something new every day by getting introduced to these books.
A manual for what to do in this blessed month was shared with viewers at the beginning of the month. The participants were involved in various spiritual exercises like offering prayers, donations, making the Prophet's (pbuh) favorite food, lighting candles, decorating houses, and introducing kids to the concept of Mawlid-un-Nabi (pbuh).
