On July 30 (Sunday), a day-long sessions was held for the students enrolled with Madinat al-Zahra for the evening classes that will be held every weekday. Brother Seerat Ali Khan introduced the proceedings by explaining the purpose of the event to parents. He introduced the project and its vision of being an institute of intellectual and spiritual excellence that would provide the means and resources for children not only to attain classical Islamic knowledge, but to experience a nurturing environment so they become productive members of their communities.
Following the recitation of the Qur’an and a beautiful Nasheed recited by one of the students Abu Bakr, the parents and students were introduced to works of his eminence Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and the philosophy of Minhaj-ul-Qur’an International. Allama Muhammad Afzal Saeedi delivered a short speech outlining the course content and the books that will be taught to the children, and thus showcasing the literary feats of the leader of this organisation with a view to inspire the attendees.
Thereafter, the teachers were introduced to the students and parents, and in particular their credentials and qualifications were presented. The event came to a close with parents’ questions being addressed and the children receiving the books that they will study.
We ask for Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala through the medium of our master Sayyiduna Muhammad Sallalho Alayhi Wasallim to make Madinat al-Zahra a place that propagates the true message of Islam with the light of knowledge. We also ask our Lord that He gives the community an enthusiasm and thirst to attain knowledge of the Deen and that Madinat al-Zahra becomes a hub for learning and a source of inspiration for students of all ages.
