USA: MQI delegation attends multi-faith Peace Conference

A delegation of Minaj-ul-Quran International led by Director MQI New Jersy, Muhammad Sharif Kamalvi, attended the “Peace Conference” in Emerson Synagogue on 15th Jan 2016. The peace conference was held by local Jewish organization and the representatives from Christian, Hindu and Muslim communities took part in the event. The leaders of delegations addressed the conference.

Allama Muhammad Sharif kamalvi lead the Muslim delegation. He clarified the message of peace in Islam in his speech. He said the meaning of word ‘Muslim’ is the one who is peaceful and pacifist. When two Muslims meet, they greet each other by saying Aslam-o-Alaikum meaning, ‘may peace be on you’. He said that a Muslim can never be a terrorist because the Prophet of Islam (Peace be upon him) disliked and abhorred terrorism. Muhammad Sharif Kamalvi dilated upon the historic religious decree authored by Sheikh-ul-Isalm Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He also gave them the gift of Irfan-ul-Quran. He shed light on the efforts MQI is making for promotion of peace, interfaith dialogue and harmony under the leadership of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that the followers of all great religions should forge unity in their ranks to weed out the extremist elements.
