By the grace of Almighty Allah (SWT) Minhaj Woman League Glasgow organised a Muharram Mehfil on the 10th of November 2015. The Mehfil was held at Sister Yasmin Ahmed’s house – President of Minhaj Woman League Scotland. Approximately 35 ladies attended the event. Mehfil commenced with recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by half an hour recitation of Durood Shareef by all sisters.

The Holy Qur’an was recited by Rehana Ali in a beautiful and heart-warming voice. After the recitation of The Holy Qur’an, Sisters Noshela Ali and Jasmin Ahmed both recited individual Naats in a very melodious tone praising The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and His Beloved Ahl-lul-Bayt.

The Mehfil progressed with a talk about the incident of Karbala by Sister Tasneem. After the speech Sister Shamshed Ghani recited a beautiful Naat. Finally, the sisters finished the Mehfil by sending Salaam on our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). A total of 600 Durood Shareefs were read by the sisters.

Refreshments were also provided at the end of the Mehfil.
