By the Grace of Almighty Allah (SWT) and His Beloved Prophet (PBUH), Minhaj Sisters League (The Hague, Netherlands) organized its second Itikaf session of this year, which was especially arranged for the youth sisters.

The theme of this Itikaf session was ‘A night in remembrance of Karbala’.

The session took place on the 14th of November. Approximately 50 sisters attended this Itikaf session and took benefit from the teachings of Shaykh-ul-Islam which were delivered to the audience by our honorable speaker, Mrs. Sumaira Faisal (President Minhaj Women & Sisters League Europe).

Sister Anny Malik, coordinator of the Itikaf Session, welcomed everyone and thanked the audience for participating in this program. The program started with recitation of Quranic verses and Qasida Burdah Sharif. The live lecture of the Majalis-ul-Ilm series of Shaykh-ul-Islam was also played live on screen for the audience.

After that, Mrs. Sumaira Faisal delivered an inspirational lecture on the Remembrance of Shahadat-e-Imam Hussain RA, wherein she emphasized on the spirit of this great sacrifice and how the youth should apply this in their lives nowadays. After a short break for diner we continued with part two.

In the second part of our Itikaf session Mrs. Sumaira Faisal continued on the topic of ‘Tasawwuf’, the theme of our first Itikaf Session which took place a couple of months ago. This beautiful night came to an end after a beautiful session of Nasheed, Dhikr and Dua.
