PCC David Jamieson visited Minhaj Pleck Youth Club in Walsall on 9th March 2015. Minhaj Pleck Youth club engages young people in sports, educational and recreational activities. The young people have been able to develop their leadership skills in few months.
Qasim Siddqiue and Nouman Sharif presented the report on sports and educational activities the young people succeeded to deliver.
David Jamieson appreciated the presentations by young people and urged them to continue with the wonderful work they are doing. He also appreciated the work done by Dr Tahir ul Qadri for his humanitarian and academic work to promote peace.
Connie Jennings (Programme Manager) Employment and Training Team WHG said "I loved the feeling of hope and vibrance in the room. The presentation undertaken by the young volunteers was amazing and they should be very proud of themselves.”
Ali Akbar, director of Minhaj ul Quran Walsall said: ‘young people are the future of our community and country. We must support them to secure our future”. He thanked Shabbir Hussain, a volunteer parent who helped and supported young people for their aspirations.
He also thanked Muhammad Azam, Aftab Ahmad, Aziz Ur Rehman, Farooq Sharif, Mutloob Hussain, Ahsan Awan, Munir ahmad, Akhtar Ali, and all other colleagues who volunteer with MQI Walsall to promote peace, community cohesion and Islamic values locally and nationally.
Muhammad Azam, the acting president of MQI Walsall, presented Fatwa against terrorism and suicide bombing, an academic and scholarly work of Shaykh ul Islam Dr Tahir Ul Qadri to David Jamieson PCC West Midlands police.
Dawah Project Stall at the end of the spiritual. She briefly updated the participants on our Minhaj Welfare projects and how the construction of the mosque is coming along.
Salaam was led by Sister Ranii Hussain. Sister Shehnaz preformed Dua to conclude the programme. Packed food was given out to all attendees.
