The team aims to hold one seminar on the first Sunday of each month, covering different topics. This seminar was led by Sister Tahira Afzal (MYL UK-S Executive Member). The seminar was divided into the following 4 sections:

  1. What do the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah say about marriage?
  2. How to find a partner and what to look for in a possible partner?
  3. Rights and responsibilities of the husband and wife
  4. How to maintain a happy marriage?

The seminar lasted for three hours and was attended by sisters from Halifax, Huddersfield and Leeds. The purpose of this seminar was to help sisters who are looking for a partner, those who recently got engaged and those who are married; to gain knowledge about what Islam says about marriage and the importance of knowing about the rights and responsibilities of the husband and wife according to Islam. The seminar started with welcome to the participants for registering for the seminar. An outline of the seminar was given along with stationery for those who wished to take notes. Following on from this, the first two sections of the seminar were delivered after which there was a break for prayer and refreshments. After the break, a 10 minute video clip of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was shown. The topic of the video was the ‘Rights of Husband and Wife’. There was also a brief introduction of Shaykh-ul-Islam, Minhaj-ul-Quran International and MYL UK-S. After this, the last two sections of the presentation were delivered.

Most of the presentation was based on the lectures delivered by Shaykh-ul-Islam regarding marriage. Finally, all the participants gave feedback; some of the comments are below:
