On the eve of the New Year celebrations on the 31st of December 2011, MYL UK (London) held a New Year’s Dhikr evening with many distinguished speakers and noshed performers. The proceedings began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Brother Ahmad Raza followed by a Naat.
The Program was hosted by Allama Abdul-Basit Al-Azhari and Brother Muzammel Rafiq. The participants were encouraged to focus on their inner spirituality and the relationship they have with Allah Almighty and his Beloved (S.A.W.). Shaykh Muhammad Sadiq Qureshi Al-Azhari gave the audience the message of Minhaj-ul-Quran International that it is an organization solely promoting peace throughout humanity. Whilst explaining the London Declaration, he encouraged everyone to sign this declaration to tell the world that we stood against all forms of extremism.
