Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Hong Kong) organized a prestigious ‘Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) Conference’ in the club hall of Pakistan Association of Hong Kong. Sahibada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, president of MQI’s Federal Council, was the guest of honour on the occasion, while Dr Ahmad Bilal, Counsel General of Pakistan, presided over the conference.The proceedings of the conference got underway with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Hafiz Adnan Sialvi, followed by Naat, which was performed by Hafiz Syed Tanvir Hussain Shah, and Allama Qari Sabir Hussain Sabir. Talking of effects of Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) on human life in his keynote speech, Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that in this age marked by rat race and dominance of materialistic forces, we need to take time out and do self-introspection in order to bring about change in our lives. We need to seek guidance from the Seera of the Holy Prophet (SAW) to overcome the forces of extremism and terrorism, which are ripping apart our value system and bringing our great religion into disrepute. The culture of violence can be eradicated through promotion of tolerance, harmony and peaceful coexistence, he added. He said that Minhaj-ul-Quran International is engaged in the practical struggle for promotion of these values under the inspiring leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri throughout the world.
Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has launched an intellectual struggle against terrorism and extremism through propagation of Islam’s real message, in the light of the teachings of the Seera-tun-Nabi (SAW). On the one hand, Shaykh-ul-Islam is building bridges among different civilizations and cultures, and allaying the fears and allegations of the foreigners about Islam on the other. He said that the historic Fatwa against Terrorism authored by Shaykh-ul-Islam has made a difference and exposed the real of terrorists who are using religion to promote their radical agenda. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ahmad Bilal, Counsel General of Pakistan, said that Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has rightfully been acclaimed as the Ambassador of Peace due to his historic services for the promotion of peace and interfaith dialogue in the world. Shaykh-ul-Islam, he said, has duly represented the Muslim Umma at the global level in a befitting manner. “The social, welfare and educational services of MQI in the world are praiseworthy,” he concluded.A cross-section of the Pakistani community including doctors, professors, literati, writers, intellectuals and businessmen attended the conference. Muhammad Sakinder Bacha, president of MQI Hong Kong, Capt. (r ) Shahzad Saleem, president of Pakistan Association, Haji Muhammad Younis, Haji Muhammad Najeeb, Allama Qari Abdur Rehman Chishti, Allama Qari Muhammad Ramzan Sialvi, and Qari Sabir Hussain Sabir, were also present on the occasion
