Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, president of Federal Council and member of Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has been reelected unopposed to the position of Post-Graduate Student Representative and a member of Board of Studies (Syndicate of the University) for year 2010-11. This would be the second continuous stint of Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri in this position. He got elected to this position last year. At the expiry of his term, there were seven people in competition for 2010-11 including Sahibzada sb but all six of them decided to withdraw their candidatures in favour of Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri. Thus he was elected unopposed to this prestigious position.
It must be kept in mind that Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri is the first Pakistani and a Muslim student who was ever elected to this position, which has otherwise been the preserve of the English students. Through his hard work and marvelous contributions, Sahibzada sb has been able to break the monopoly of the English. This high-profile position involves looking after the interests of the students besides offering his input to the Syndicate of the University as their representative.
Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri is pursuing his PhD in this University these days. He has authored a number of books and is also a regular contributor to various English and Urdu newspapers. Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi and other leaders of MQI have congratulated Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri on this achievement and prayed for his success in life.
