On Saturday, September 5, 2026, Minhaj-ul-Quran International Norway organized a magnificent, spiritual and historic Milad Festival. About 1,100 people from different parts of Norway participated, including men, women, children and people from different walks of life.
The program started with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Mikhaael Mala, who had arrived from the UK. He then performed a beautiful nasheed together with the children from Minhaj School Oslo. This helped fill the gathering with even more love and devotion for Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم.
Several famous nasheed artists from Pakistan, the United Kingdom and Norway participated during the festival. Shakeel Ahmad Tahir, Shahbaz Qamar Fareedi, Abid Masoomi, Hamzah Khan, Yaseen Saeed, Allama Noor Ahmad Noor, Haroon Qayyum and Qari Ansar Ali Qadri performed beautiful and emotional nasheeds in the honour of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, creating a strong spiritual atmosphere among the audience.
The program was led by Allama Nasir Ali Awan and Sadia Shahzad, who, in a professional, structured and engaging manner, ensured a smooth flow throughout the stage program.
During the festival, Allama Muhammad Iqbal Fani, Hayat-Ul-Mir Khan, Sajila Asghar and Ayesha Khan delivered separate speeches. Among other things, they covered the life and teachings of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, the love of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, his message, and the importance of religious and moral upbringing of the younger generation.
In his special address, Dr. Hamza Ansari shed light on various aspects of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم's life, with particular focus on the Hijra to Medina and the conquest of Mecca. Based on these events, he highlighted the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم's patience, steadfastness, forgiveness and high moral character. He emphasized that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم's life is not just a part of history but is still a complete source of guidance in our own lives. We should show patience in the face of difficulties, tolerance in disagreement, forgiveness when in power, and try to follow the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم's good character in all situations.
Ambassador of Pakistan Asim Ali Khan congratulated Minhaj-ul-Quran International Norway on the successful event. He praised the good organization, the positive atmosphere and the efforts of the organizers. He pointed out that such events provide an important opportunity to convey the life and teachings of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, the message of peace and love in Islam, and to highlight a positive image of Pakistan.
The President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Norway, Awais Ejaz, thanked all the participants, forums, committees and organizers and congratulated them on the completion of the festival. He expressed a desire to further strengthen Minhaj-ul-Quran's work in the fields of dissemination, education, peace, love and humanitarian efforts, and invited participants to actively contribute to this important work.
Towards the end of the program, Allama Nemat Ali Shah, Imam and Khateeb at Central Jamia Mosque Ahl-e-Sunnat Norway, congratulated Minhaj-ul-Quran International Norway on the successful event. In connection with the Milad Festival, a number of informative, religious and charitable stalls were also set up. Among these were booths from Minhaj-ul-Quran, Minhaj Women League, Minhaj Welfare, Imam Corner, Minhaj Library and Mishkat Hajj & Umrah. Here, the participants could get information about the organization's work, religious and educational activities, humanitarian work and available literature. Several food and serving stands simultaneously helped create a pleasant and family-friendly atmosphere throughout the day. Following the conclusion of the program, a separate Milad serving was also arranged for all the participants.
Recitation of the Holy Quran, nasheeds, thought-provoking speeches, huge audience participation, good organizational arrangements and a spiritual atmosphere characterized by love for the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم made the festival a very memorable gathering.
All the revenue from the stalls during the festival was earmarked for Minhaj-ul-Quran International Norway's project for a new Markaz. The funds will contribute to the realization of this important religious and organizational project.
Milad Festival 2026 thus became a significant and historic milestone in Minhaj-ul-Quran International Norway's religious, invitational, educational, humanitarian and organizational work. The festival helped to highlight the message of love for the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, peace, fellowship, humanity and a positive Islamic expression in Norway.
