Bolzano, Italy: Minhaj-ul-Quran International Bolzano organised a spiritually uplifting “Martyrdom of Sayyiduna Imam Husayn (AS) Conference”, attended by a large gathering of Minhaj-ul-Quran members, devotees of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), and the Pakistani and wider Muslim community.

The keynote address was delivered by Chairman Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, who spoke on “Love for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and the Eternal Message of Karbala.”

Drawing upon the Qur'an and authentic Prophetic traditions, Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri highlighted the exalted status of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and explained that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) demonstrated unparalleled love for Imam Hasan (AS) and Imam Husayn (AS), setting a timeless example of mercy, compassion, and family values. Citing several ahadith, he noted that the Prophet (PBUH) expressed his love for his grandsons not only through words but also through his actions.

He cautioned against the spread of misconceptions about Karbala through social media and urged Muslims to understand the event through the Qur'an, Sunnah, and authentic Islamic sources.

Speaking on the significance of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri said that the sacrifice of Imam Husayn (AS) was not a struggle for political power but a supreme sacrifice to preserve the true spirit of Islam, justice, truth, and the reform of the Muslim Ummah. Referring to the sacrifice and generosity of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) mentioned in Surah al-Dahr, he described their lives as a lasting example of selflessness, sincerity, patience, and devotion to Allah.

Concluding his address, he urged participants to strengthen their love for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), follow their noble character, promote unity within the Muslim Ummah, and embody the timeless values of Karbala in their daily lives. The conference concluded with special prayers for peace, stability, and prosperity in Pakistan, Italy, and throughout the world.
