    On Saturday 18 June 2016, Minhaj Women League UK, Bradford, organised an Iftar party in collaboration with Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF), in aid of raising funds for hand pumps in poor countries and the Aghosh Orphan home in Pakistan.     The incessant rains and overflowing rivers caused heavy flooding in the state of Assam. The floods washed away houses and caused heavy losses to crops and livestock. As the people affected by the floods are trying to come to terms with the loss, Minhaj Interfaith & Welfare Foundation is providing relief material in the worst flood-affected areas.     Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Kolkata) organised free health check-up camp at KMCP School on the 14th February 2016 where free medicines were provided to the patients. A team of doctors including general physicians, cardiologists and gynaecologists conducted check-ups of the people who attended the camp.     On March 9, Newham’s Minhaj-ul-Quran sent communication liaison officer, Adnan Sohail, who said his visit was a “real eye-opener”. “My 14-day visit to Pakistan was part of a field visit on behalf of MWF, which has been working in the developing world since 1989,” he said. “Part of my visit included a look at some of our key projects in education, health care and water.” During his trip, Adnan travelled to Tharparkar in Sindh, a region in south east Pakistan that was hit with a severe drought through 2013 and 2014 that killed 45 children....
