Spiritual Gathering held under MQI Malaysia

Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Malaysia chapter) organized a prestigious ceremony of spiritual gathering in the capital, Kaula Lampur, on August 13, 2011. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founding leader of MQI, was the guest of honor on the occasion. Muhammad Jamil Chaudhry( Ameer Minhaj Asian Council), Ali Imran(president Minhaj Asian Council), Muhammad Saleem Qadri( vice president Minhaj Asian Council) Amjed Niaz(Sec Genral Asian Council),Hafiz Muhammad Naseem Naqashbandi(Hong Kong) Mardan Ali Qadri, president of MQI South Korea, Syed Nadi Ali, president of MQI India, Sufi Meezan-ur-Rehman, Amir of MQI Bangladesh, and other leaders were also present on the occasion.

The proceedings of the program started off with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Hafiz Muhammad Tanvir Shah followed by recital of Naat by Mardan Ali Qadri. Muhammad Nauman Siddiqi conducted the proceedings of the programme. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and Syed Afeef-ud-Din al-Qadri al-Gilani were seated on the stage. Muhammad Salim Qadri, Amir of MQI Malaysia, invited Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri to deliver his keynote address in a very melodious voice.

Shaykh-ul-Islam chose the subject of ‘love’ for his speech and gave an exhaustive talk on the topic. He urged the people to strengthen their bond of love with the person of the Holy Prophet (SAW). He also asked people to subject their desires to the obedience of Allah Almighty and His Prophet (SAW) for eternal salvation. Everyone was shedding tears by listening to the incisive speech of Shaykh-ul-Islam. The address continued until ‘Sehri’. Syed Abid Ali Shah Gilani offered greetings and salutations on the Holy Prophet (SAW) and Shaykh-ul-Islam led the concluding Dua.

Minhaj Asian Council arranged a special conference on August 14 in which the delegates from India, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Singapore had special meetings with Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. Ali Imran, president of Minhaj Asian Council, introduced the guests separately and presented progress report of each chapter of MQI. Shaykh-ul-Islam held detailed meeting with every delegation and directed them to promote MQI’s message of peace and interfaith dialogue in the world.
